Ma$e is back and drops off a new track with DJ Smallz. Personally I thought he’d given his life to Christ and become a preacher, but I guess he’s not only dropped that persona, but even by-passed his Bad Boy days and regressed to his Murder Ma$e days…
But seriously Ma$e, you’re over 35, shouldn’t your music reflect this?
Organizers for Glastonbury Festival failed to secure Adele as one of the headliners for its upcoming gig. Speaking to Metro, Michael Eavis revealed the “Rolling in the Deep” hitmaker was too afraid to take on the famous Pyramid Stage and face a large number of crowd.
“She knows that we want her anyway but she doesn’t want to do a thing our size,” the organizer dished on the reason why she turned down the headlining offer. “Going on the Pyramid Stage I think is a bit daunting in front of 80,000 people. It’s a bit much, really.”
Although the “Someone Like You” crooner wouldn’t perform, she’s expected to hit the Worthy Farm in Somerset like she always did in the past years. “She comes every year usually, and has her own little party,” he opened up before adding that the Glastonbury door would always open for her.
The tour stops were mysteriously removed from the band’s website, but a source tells THR, “After 50 shows, they need a breather.”
Less than a week after Van Halen added five late-summer shows to its current North American tour, something went missing from band’s website – namely, all the scheduled tour dates after June 2.
Lil Kim who is currently on her Return Of The Queen tour performed last night at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx, NY. The Queen B brought out Eve & Missy Elliott for a female performance of Missy’s track “Hot Boyz”.
While Jay-Z had yet to drop his debut album Reasonable Doubt, Biggie Smalls was already solidifying his legend with Ready To Die.
In 1996, at Video Music Box creator Ralph McDaniels’ birthday celebration, Jay joined Biggie live on stage as a hypeman for “Get Money.” Even though, the two Brooklyn natives traded verses on “Brooklyn’s Finest” and were good friends, even attending the same high school, the two rarely performed together – making this piece of footage all the more rare.
“Every year, I had a birthday party,” said McDaniels. “I wanted to get B.I.G. to host [it], but really I wanted him to perform. Jay-Z came with the whole Roc-A-Fella crew and they got on stage. I told the DJ, ‘If Biggie gets on stage, play a Biggie song and we’ll get him to perform.’ DJ Ace threw on ‘Get Money’ and the whole crowd went crazy. B.I.G. looks at me like, ‘I guess I’m supposed to perform now, right?’ Jay-Z plays hypeman to B.I.G. on ‘Get Money.’ That just rang through the hood forever.”
